DAVAO HPBS wins an SDG Award
The Davao High Priority Bus System (HPBS) Project won the SDG Award for Prosperity during the 4th Sustainability Summit hosted by the Global Compact Network Philippines (GNCP) and United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) last November 22, 2022, at the Philippine International Convention Center.
The Sustainability Summit is an event that showcases the member organizations’ efforts toward sustainability, and their stories on how their program and activities support the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). During the November 2021 Sustainability Summit, the GCNP launched the SDG Awards to celebrate the outstanding contributions of organizations to the 10 Principles and the SDGs and its alignment with the 10-In-10 Ambition Action for the MSME Recovery and Resilience. The awards were given to participating organizations that have made outstanding achievements in their sustainability programs under the four categories of people, planet, prosperity, and micro, small and medium enterprise (MSME).
Aligned with this goal, the Davao HPBS Project received an SDG Award for its outstanding contribution to Prosperity in terms of work and economic growth, access to education, sustainable cities, green climate respondent, promoting the 10 Principles and SDG in its value chain, and supported the MSME recovery and resilience.
