The Davao Bloggers Society Hosts Successful Annual Acquaintance Party
The Davao Bloggers Society (DBS) celebrated its annual Acquaintance Party on June 1, 2024. Organized bythe DBS officers and co-presented by foodpanda and PLDT Home, the event marked a night filled with camaraderie, fun games, and generous giveaways.
“The officers have prepared this party for a month. We designed fun and engaging activities where the members could interact and eventually form new bonds and support each other in their blogging journey. We also opened the party to non-members, guests, and sponsors so they could experience how fun it is to be part of DBS,” shared Jexx Hinggo, DBS Special Events Director and lead organizer.
As one of the primary objectives of the acquaintance party, the Davao Bloggers Society welcomed their official new members. The newbies took their oaths and committed to upholding the organization’s mission and vision.
Various games and activities highlighted the night, including “Rock, Paper, Scissors,” "Last Word," and "Paint Me a Picture.”
Exciting giveaways added to the evening’s thrill, featuring vouchers from Crystallya Cafe + Study Hub and Co-Working Space, tech goodie bags from Cellections, Jansport backpacks from Bratpack Abreeza Mall, an overnight stay at the Club Samal Resort, exclusive merch from maya, and special gift bags curated by the officers.
Outstanding social media posts about the event were also recognized, with Khel Kael and Glenn Agallano receiving special acknowledgments. The night we concluded with President Gem Tadefa’s closing remarks, announcing upcoming activities for the organization, followed by a group picture capturing the event’s spirit.
